Mary Robinson and Kofi Annan visit Zimbabwe ahead of the Presidential elections
On 19 July, the independent group of global leaders, The Elders, with the support of the Kofi Annan Foundation visited Zimbabwe. The visit was led by Kofi Annan, Chair of The Elders and the Kofi Annan Foundation and former member of the Prize Committee. Additionally, MIF Board and Prize Committee member, Mary Robinson was also part of the delegation joined by former Foreign Minister of Algeria and UN diplomat, Lakhdar Brahimi.
Ahead of the pivotal general elections in Zimbabwe, taking place today, 30 July 2018, this trip aimed at meeting leading political figures and supporting all actors involved in working towards a free, fair and transparent electoral process.
