President John Pombe Magufuli has died

The Citizen (Tanzania) reported that Tanzanian President John Magufuli has passed away at the age of 61. Vice President Samia Suluhu Hassan is set to take power in line with Tanzania’s constitution, becoming the country’s first female President.

Libya's Government of National Unity sworn in at Tobruk-based HoR 

The Libya Observer (Libya) reported that Prime Minister of the Libyan Government of National Unity, Abdul-Hamid Dbeibah was sworn in this week at a House of Representatives session in Tobruk.

Ugandan opposition leader, Bobi Wine, arrested  

Punch (Nigeria) reported that Ugandan opposition leader, Bobi Wine, was arrested on Monday for leading a protest against the arrest of many of his supporters following January’s presidential election.
