Opposition muted as Museveni embarks on new term 

Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni was sworn in on Wednesday for his sixth term in office, at a ceremony which was placed under heavy security to avoid demonstrations by the opposition, reported Daily Monitor (Uganda).

KQ halts plan to launch flights to Hargeisa, Somaliland

Kenya has suspended all flights from neighbouring Somalia a week after the two countries announced they had restored diplomatic ties. No reason has been given for the suspension, reported KBC (Kenya).
