NGN member Fabrice Muchiga selected for the 2026 Tutu Fellowship cohort

NGN member Fabrice Chubaka Muchiga has been selected as one of the associates for the 2026 cohort of the Tutu Fellowship programme, an initiative of the African Leadership Institute that brings together emerging African leaders from across the continent. 

Chosen from hundreds of nominations, the 2026 cohort comprises leaders from 15 African countries working across the private, public and civil society sectors. Their expertise spans areas including governance, education, finance, technology, human rights, conflict resolution, health, sport and media, reflecting the programme's emphasis on diverse leadership perspectives. 

Founder of the Africa Peace Initiative (AfriPI) and Director for Network Engagement for francophone Africa at Teach For All, Muchiga has dedicated more than a decade to advancing peacebuilding, education and governance across the Sahel and Great Lakes regions. Through initiatives including the African Young Leaders Forum, he has mentored thousands of young leaders while promoting dialogue, social innovation and community-led approaches to peace. 

The Tutu Fellowship programme supports established leaders with the potential to drive transformative change across Africa by strengthening their leadership capabilities and fostering a network of peers committed to the continent's long-term development.
