NGN member Dr Rama Salla Dieng has been awarded the 2025 Paula Kantor Award by the International Center for Research on Women (ICRW), recognising excellence in field-based research that advances the empowerment of women and girls.

Presented by the Washington-based organisation, the award honours the legacy of researcher Paula Kantor and celebrates scholarship that has a meaningful impact on gender equality. The selection committee recognised Dieng's use of participatory, intersectional and decolonial research methodologies, placing the knowledge and agency of women and girls at the centre of her work.
