Nathalie Delapalme’s Contribution to Brookings’ Foresight Africa Special Edition

Nathalie Delapalme, CEO of the Mo Ibrahim Foundation, contributed to the 2025-2030 Foresight Africa report by Brookings. In her article, “Africa’s Governance Landscape: A Tale of Mixed Progress and Unmet Expectations,” she examines key findings from the 2024 Ibrahim Index of African Governance (IIAG).
Delapalme highlights critical trends in governance, from setbacks in countries like Sudan and Tunisia to notable progress in Seychelles and Sierra Leone. She emphasises the widening gap between governance improvements and citizen perceptions, particularly among Africa’s youth, and the implications for stability and development.
