Ibrahim Fellow, Charlotte Ashamu, appointed as Associate Director at The Smithsonian’s National Museum of African Art

Congratulations to former Ibrahim Fellow Charlotte Ashamu for her recent appointment as the Associate Director of Advancement and External Affairs at The Smithsonian’s National Museum of African Art in Washington, D.C.
Charlotte will oversee the museum’s efforts to deepen and broaden engagement with a global network of partners in the philanthropic, private and public sectors.
She undertook her Ibrahim Fellowship at the African Development Bank (AfDB) in 2014 and has a wealth of experience in Africa’s financial and business sectors. She is the founder of Dabira Designs, a pioneering organisation dedicated to supporting the creative industries in Africa.
