Aïcha Bah Diallo receives Outstanding Women Leadership Award

Ibrahim Prize Committee member Aïcha Bah Diallo was honoured at the World Women Leadership Congress (WWLC) & Awards launched on 27th November 2013 in Mauritius during the third Africa India Partnership Summit. Aïcha Bah Diallo, Chairperson of the Forum for African Women Educationalists (FAWE) and a champion of girls’ and women’s learning, serves as adviser to the Director-General of UNESCO on girls’ education in Africa. She played a guiding role in the formation of the Forum of African Women Educationalists (FAWE) in 1992, and has served as its president.

The award recognises and appreciates the profound role played by women as leaders, executioners, and decision makers, in shaping the future of the region and nation, and who embody the qualities of leadership in displaying active, creative, and integrative efforts in achieving the best possible results in the national and regional development plans.

The World Women Leadership Congress 2014

The WWLC will honour the strategic and influential role of various Women leaders in the development of the modern economy, technology, and administrative methodologies that promotes the advancement of the government and business organisation according to the standards of global competitiveness. The WWLC will host its annual Women Leadership Awards to identify and celebrate the outstanding leadership and achievements demonstrated by Women leaders that are reflected by the distinct innovations and initiatives brought in by them in various private and public sectors.
