Mpilo Shabangu

Mpilo Shabangu is a Data Analyst for the City of Ekurhuleni Municipal Government in South Africa. She is also a steering committee member for the Nelson Mandela Institution of Developmental Studies (MINDS) African Youth Network Movement. Mpilo was the Research Associate for the Office of the Founder at the Graça Machel Trust. She has an extensive background in climate change and environmental governance due to her work with the South African Institute of International Affairs.

She is a Mandela Rhodes and MINDS Scholar. She is also a member of the Mo Ibrahim Foundation’s Now Generation Network (NGN).
