Senior Democracy and Governance Expert African Union Commission (AUC)
Makda is a Senior Democracy and Governance Expert at the African Union Commission (AUC). Previously, Makda served as a Democracy and Governance Fellow at the AUC where she facilitated the African Governance Architecture Roadmap 2020-2023. Makda was also Programme Manager at the British Council, where she led the successful implementation of the Horn of Africa Leadership and Learning for Action (HOLLA) Programme. She holds a Master of Laws in International Legal Studies from Georgetown University Law Center.
