Herbert Mba Aki
Assistant Professor of Political Science at Université Omar Bongo
Dr Herbert Mba Aki is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Université Omar Bongo in Libreville, Gabon. He is also the Co-founder and Executive Director of Biangg Consulting, a survey research firm based in Gabon. He previously served as Coordinator of the Africa Working Group within the Young Scholars Initiative (YSI), an initiative of the Institute for New Economic Thinking.
Dr Mba Aki currently serves on the General Assembly of Future Earth, a global sustainability think tank, and is a founding member of Democratic Solidarity Africa (DSA), an initiative of the Forum 2000 Foundation. He is also a member of the Mo Ibrahim Foundation’s Now Generation Network (NGN). Dr Mba Aki earned his Ph.D. in Political Science and International Studies from Hanyang University in Seoul, South Korea, in 2021.
