Dr Daniel Kaufmann
President emeritus of Natural Resource Governance Institute (NRGI)
Prof Daniel Kaufmann is a Senior Fellow at Results for Development (R4D) and at the Brookings Institution, as well as President Emeritus of the Natural Resources Governance Institute (NRGI). He is also a visiting Professor of Economics at University of the Philippines. Previously, he held senior positions at the World Bank and was visiting scholar at Harvard. He has served in various international boards, such as at EITI and in high level advisory panels such at the OECD.
He is widely published in academic and policy journals and co-developed widely used global indicators on governance, as well as diagnostic tools and survey methodologies to improve governance and address corruption and state capture. Daniel holds a Ph.D. in economics from Harvard University.
