Tsega Gebreyes

Tsega Gebreyes is a veteran investor and entrepreneur with significant pan-African operating and investing expertise. She is currently Founding Director at Satya Capital Limited, an independent investment group focussed on providing long-term growth capital.

She was formerly a Board Director and Senior Executive at Celtel International where she played an instrumental role in attracting capital for investments in Africa and was a driving force behind the growth of the business through multi-country expansion across Africa. Prior to Celtel, Tsega was a founding partner of NAOF, an Africa-focussed private equity fund and previously held various positions at Citigroup and McKinsey & Company. Tsega has served on various public, private and charitable boards. She currently serves on the board of LSEG and as Senior Independent Director of Airtel Africa plc. She was previously Vice Chair and Senior Independent Director of SES and Non-Executive Director of Sonae Group and Mastercard Foundation.

Tsega holds a Masters in Business Administration from Harvard Business School and holds two degrees from Rhodes College, in Economics and International Studies/Business Administration.
