Aïcha Bah Diallo and Carl Manlan discuss remaining challenges in the education system at [email protected]
On 9 May MIF Prize committee member, Aïcha Bah Diallo, attended a one-day gathering that explored solutions in education for the future of the region under the theme ‘Unlocking the World’s Potential: Leading and Innovating for Quality Education in Africa’, held by the World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE) in Accra, Ghana. This is the fourth [email protected] regional forum convened in Ghana.
Mme Bah Diallo highlighted the crucial role of education in the empowerment of women, as she believes that:
2014 Ibrahim Fellow, Carl Manlan was also a speaker at the event and emphasised that in order to address the youth unemployment in Africa, we need to harness the skills of young people in the informal sector.
According to him:
[email protected] brought over 500 local and international education practitioners, young innovators, entrepreneurs and many more to engage in debates on the African youth and the role of innovation in improving the quality of educational systems.
