Carl Manlan, 2014 Ibrahim Fellow in the Office of the Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), was appointed as the Executive Secretary of the Africa Against Ebola Solidarity Trust (AAEST) with effect from 1 May 2015.
In May, Carl was also made Officer of the Order of Merit by the Government of Benin for his contributions to improving the health of African people.
